Content and Style for
blog posts
Posts
should focus on your thoughts and experiences about choirs, singing, events,
community and things you’re up to that may be of interest to a wider audience.
If you’re not sure whether your idea is suitable, discuss it with the blog
editor.
Blog
posts should be easy to read and conversational in style, this is more likely
to engage your audience and keep their attention - so avoid turning your post
into an essay!
Your
post should not exceed 1000 words.
Break
your post up into paragraphs to make it easier for the reader to digest.
Do
not use underline or italics as it makes it more difficult to read. If you need
to highlight something in your post, use bold
text.
If
you want to include a link to a website in your post, please include a link in
your draft.
Any
post that is derogatory towards another individual or group will not be
published.
If
you don’t want your name on your post, please make this clear to the blog
editor.
Copyright
Ask
for permission if you are writing about another individual - check they are
happy to be included in your post. If
you quote from another source, make sure you reference the source. If you use a photograph, you must obtain
permission from the photographer. If in doubt, leave it out! Including a link to another website does not
require permission.
